    Rhodes park is a beautiful flagship park situated in the heart of Kensington, that has seen thousands of visitors throughout the years.

    It’s a park with beautiful water features and a beautiful lake that is the home to various species of fauna flora. It’s a park where local residents and communities throughout Johannesburg visit regularly to have picnics and family fun. It has soccer fields, tennis club, bowls club, a community centre and even city parks has an office in the park. Rhodes park is truly the jewel of Kensington and an asset to all communities of Johannesburg.

    Therefore, we the residents of Kensington hereby, petition the city council of Johannesburg to implement better security in this park, in the form of permanent rangers that will ensure that the public park laws are maintained so that all visitors are safe in this park , and better maintenance, so that the heritage of this beautiful park is preserved.
