To City Power Johannesburg.

Power outage anti-corruption petition.

We the residents of ward 66 are struggling with constant power outages that go on for days on end. We the residents feel that workmanship is way below standard, workmanship is sloppy, not done properly and the same problems are constantly recurring.

Contractors and city power officials are using our power outages and desperation, to solicit money for quick repairs because we sit without power sometimes for weeks.

The amount of power outages that we are experiencing in one month, is creating a perfect opportunity for unscrupulous officials / contractors to exploit us. We as a community have become and are victims of city power.

We the residents of ward 66 hereby Petition the city of Johannesburg and city power to.
1) Put safe guards in place to minimize power outages
2) Monitor city power staff and contractors
3) Brief contractors and staff about exploiting the residents
4) Stop the extortion and soliciting of money from the contractors and C Power officials towards repairs of individual power outages.
