Power outage petition. TURN AROUND TIMES

To City Power Johannesburg.

We the residents of ward 66 are struggling with constant power outages that go on for days on end.
Since the Fire at the Observatory substation December 2023 nothing really changed.

We the residents feel that workmanship is way bellow standard, workmanship is sloppy not done properly and the same problems are constantly recurring.

Contractors and city power officials do not re-lock substations pillar boxes after repair and they don’t Bolt pillar boxes down and criminals push them over to steal cables.

Turn around times for repairs are totally unreasonable leaving us residents without power for days on end.
We the residents of ward 66 hereby Petition the city of Johannesburg and city power to:

1)Use qualified Technicians and staff to do repairs

2)Look at the cause/root of the problem besides repairing.

3)Make sure that infrastructure is properly secured.

4)Improve turn around times as we feel a minimum of 3 days turn around time is unreasonable.
