Traffic Lights for Kitchener ave & Lancaster st Petition

Kitchener avenue is a long double lane road each way, with cars daily speeding down the road, side by side. There are many schools in close proximity to Kitchener avenue.

Lancaster street intersects with Kitchener avenue and many accidents happen at this intersection due to speeding cars coming down Kitchener avenue, as drivers crossing from Lancaster street are unable to see oncoming speeding cars.

Lancaster is a very busy road after hours, as it is used by many people as a short cut to the suburbs of Kensington.

Due to the frequent accidents happening at the intersection of Kitchener avenue and Lancaster street, we the residents of this road and parents that have children attending schools in proximity to this road, hereby petition the city of Johannesburg, that traffic lights should be considered to be installed at this intersection.
