Eckstein Road Calming Measure Petition

Eckstein street in Observatory, is a street that runs from Kloof Street all the way to Yeovile Bellevue. This road is connected by Sylvia pass, that comes from Orange grove and Frederick road, that connects to Bruma and Cyrildene. This road in a sense is a busy road, it's quite long, with no stops for quite a considerable distance. Because of the reasons stated above, this in turn makes this road, the perfect road for speedsters.

Due to the fact that this road runs across an urban area, plus the speeding factor, in turn this road becomes extremely dangerous to the local residents and there have been instances where residents have been crashed into, as they are either pulling into their driveways or out of their driveways.

The fact that no one has been seriously injured yet, is a miracle in itself, therefore with the motivation as stated above, we the residents of Eckstein road, hereby petition the city council of Johannesburg, to implement any permanent road calming measures necessary, to make this road safer for the residents of Eckstein road.
